I'm just now catching up with Season Two of Arrested Development (omg, hilarious show), and Lindsay wore an AMAZING jacket in the episode "Amigos". It's in leather so it's rather beyond my abilities to copy, but I'd reeeeeally like to know who made the jacket so I can scrimp and save and buy my own.

It's funny, I've never really loved anything Portia de Rossi's fashion plate character has worn before, but I absoluely adore this!!

Anyone know who made it? Or know the costume designer of Arrested Development's address that I could write and ask?

Dude, I totally saw that jacket in Bloomingdale's a few months ago! My friends and I inspected it closely only to discover the greens and whites are printed on and then stitched around! It's custom-made windbreaker material (at least that's what the one in the store was) so it was quilted, rather than pieced! I cannot remember who made it, however... but Bloomingdale's flagship store in NYC was definately carrying it in the fall if that helps. You could always try emailing or calling them for info on the jacket. Good luck, it really is super cute! I know we all fell in love with it!  Cheesy

oh wow! That's such a big help! I'm conspiring with my friend in Boston to see if she can find it at her store... Though if it was there in the fall I don't hope that it'll still be there in the summer! but thanks so much for the close observations, I had no idea it wasn't leather, and that it wasn't pieced. Was the material more like puffa jackets (but obviously less puffy!)?

So glad I could help!  Smiley I also thought it was pieced until close observation. To answer your question, yes, the material was something like a North Face Parka (or similar)... I think like nylon? And yes, it was thinner, like a quilt might be. Good luck! You may want to check Ebay or something like Bluefly.com to get detailed photos of it. I think you're right, it'd probably be hard to find in stores now. If you end up re-creating it I'd love to see! I'd thought of it myself but couldn't get past the whole piecing-actually-printed idea  Tongue

Just an update - Someone messaged me to say it's an Elie Tahari jacket, so I've emailed their site to find out if they can help me... *fingers crossed*
