So somehow all my sewing needles have disappeared. Arg. I love how 'cleaning' in our house usually means throwing away all of my crafting things. 

BUT! Picked up about 70 sewing needles from the store today, so I should be good to go! Doll is coming along nicely. I should be ready to send mid-week.

I somehow got the idea that I had to send this Tuesday. Don't know why I thought that, but I did.
Hopefully I get the change to send tomorrow (Monday) after work. If not, it won't be sooner than Wednesday.

I finished the "Picasso" doll today after adding hair, removing the hair, sewing on new hair. Really a strange doll, but okay it should do! Then I sewed a little extra which I love sewing! Hope you like it AIMR!

So, two dolls and a little extra should be heading your way this week!

I must not forget to buy a postcard! I actually went to the store yesterday to buy new stuffing (I ran out of it) AND A POSTCARD. I came home with lots of nice things and the stuffing but WITHOUT the postcard, arg! Stupid me!

Well, have to send friday and need to get some clothing on this doll. JJ nudity should not be allowed. I think I'm just going to sew on the clothes in pieces by hand out of different fabrics. LOL

Are we supposed to get postcards??? I'll have to run out before work then. LOL I should scan the one bambam sent so I may get to that tonight or tomorrow.

No, it is not mandatory to get postcards!! I just sent it for a bit of fun!! I got that when I went to the Gold Coast for my birthday. I purchased a couple and sent a few away. I thought it would be a nice surprise.

The more I think my doll needs the more I realize that it's done!  Now I just have to finish up the small and ship out.

My doll isn't yet assembled but I just spent about 2 hours, while watching the Golden Globes (they're on at 5 pm here in California) working on my extra. It's something that I've wanted to try, something that was discussed earlier in this forum and so far it's looking good. On to stage 2!

And I also hope to send before Friday, but as always, I am the ten o'clock scholar, so who knows?

*sighs* Turns out the local post office closes at 12.30 on a Saturday. I had hoped to send a bit early but with appointments and going back to work it looks like I won't get to post until Thurs or possibly Weds at a push. Luckily my partner lives in the UK as well so she won't have to wait ages for it to be delivered

Well, I finished my extra item, and it turned out to be a ___ doll! I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Looks like susanab will be receiving two rather different dolls from me, but I'm feeling good that she will like both of them.

Just have to finish up the main doll (since I decided to recreate my experimental doll and give her a sister), but I bought my first ever sewing machine last night, so that might help! Doing the extra doll on Saturday and Sunday turned three of my fingers raw. D: Pushing needles through 4-7 layers of fabric is not fun. I actually ended up snapping two needles, and using a pair of pliers for part of the stitching!
