I remember seeing on on line tut where the crafter soaked old dead felt pens in alcohol and then used the alcohol to paint with.  I suppose you could also use it like a dye bath as well.  Watch those fumes though I imagine Grin

I just now sent in my Q&A.  It's been forever since I've been in a swap, so I'm very excited to get involved in one again!  I've not heard of Junky Jane before, but I love her style.

I am so bad at leaving the caps off my markers...I read that if you soak the tips in rubbing alcohol, it will soak up and you can renew the markers...saved my butt a few late nights of crafting... Cheesy...painting with the alcohol would be cool, too!  Fumes? We ain't skeered of a no stinkin fumes!!!

I took pictures of the process. My ball is dyed and dried (in the oven no less) and almost ready to start. I will post pics. My fingers were tie dyed last night with permanent markers. Got to get if off before I do my first day at my new job.

How does one remove that from fingers?  My co-workers and boss know that I craft so they just accept my filthy looking hands and nails all the time... but for a new job (congrats, btw!!)...

Just put pics. I used regular bar soap and my fingernail scrubber. Surprised it comes off.

Like what kind of alcohol fumes... vodka fumes... because I am totally down with some vodka dying! Ha ha or maybe gin?! Ha ha

I will maybe buy some markers to try with the rubbing alcohol... I have a 2 year old and with such a child I have NO markers in the house.... only thing i have is sharpies! Ha ha... maybe I'll trying using one of those! Or else magic markers is just another item to add to my list!

:::Waving real high to Wendiek!!!::: Good to see you too! Been missing me some Wendiek Wonderfulness!!! Can't wait to get started with some ideas! I really wanna ace this swap! Ha ha  Cheesy
