susanab, Cecelia is awesome. Love her.

CMB, HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Wings of Clay I so love your work already, and just wanted you to know you are my new craftster crush.

My 'son' made some unique skulpey faces that I cooked and he is going to paint. I am going to see if any of them will work with my JJ dolls. I feel like Smmarrt's dotee's addiction, this will be mine, they are similar in size and fun to make.

After browsing JJ's blog and etsy and seeing everyone else's lovely incarnations of the JJ style, I had to take a swing at it.

I wanted to make my first attempt a little sweet -- a tad less creepy, a bit more cute. She's more of a Tatty Tina than Junker Jane. I did give her mismatched, uneven legs and weaved raggy strips of fabric in her hair. I'll have to keep pushing myself to the junkier end.

I've never painted a doll's face before. I usually do something simple with embroidery thread. I think painting is a lot easier!

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd Beck! Or just happy birthday of course. Just this one day I don't check your blog, darn!

Lovesclutter love that happy JJ style doll.
Susan your naughty elf is awesome.
gigglygirl your step to the junky side is nice! I like her. Sweet and a little odd (okay odd).

We shouldn't all try to make a "real JJ" doll, but incorporate it with our own style, hahaha says the woman who(m?) doesn't sew a lot of dolls. No, I mean why make it very creepy if you don't like very creepy. It is okay to try and push your limits, but for me using more dark colours and a little creepy is very JJ-stylish.

And it depends on my partner of course! If you like it spooky, I'll give you as much spooky as I can!  Cheesy
