I finally STARTED!!! Made some polymer clay embellishments that are going to be sewn onto the flag..still choosing my palette of colors, and have a design on paper to embroider..

I came up with some sketches for my second flag today, but still haven't decided on a word.

I left for work early to send my flags. However, when I made it to the post office I noticed I forgot the packages at home. I guess I will have to wait until Wednesday now.

I'm finished I think. I forgot to buy envelopes at the store (among other things), so did not mail today. Maybe sometime next week. Or Saturday for sure.

I hope everyone has a great new years! 

I have finished one of my two flags and now have a dilemma on my hands.  Do I send the one now when the second won't be finished for probably at least a week or do I wait and send them both at the same time?

I made a lot of progress on my second flag last night Still don't know what word I am going to use, but I thought of a design that could go with a couple of them from my parnter's list.

I sense that many of the techniques I explored in making the Junker Jane doll will inform my work on the Prayer Flag...for instance, I will be doing more hand sewing!!! hope to start sewing my flag tonight

I noticed that, too, WingsofClay!  I forgot how peaceful and calm hand sewing is compared to machine sewing...2013 is my year for calm!

That said, I am about done with one of my flags and hope to finish the next one by this weekend!

While working on the 2nd flag I've been turning my crafty cave upside down looking for a certain tool I want to use for it.
I'm giving myself the rest of today to try and find it...if it decides to remain hidden I'll go to plan B.
