@jennie: Sending blessings of luck for your NEWT!  I can't wait to see it! Grin

Thanks beautiful!  I finished round 8 last night.  Since it's a super-bulky yarn I had to move up to a giant hook, but it is looking very pretty so far. It's gonna be a super thick afghan!

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans: Grass
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Recycled T-shirt Produce Bag
Project Link: http://deliacreates.blogspot.com/2011/05/greeneasy-knit-produce-bag.html
Brief Description: I've wanted one of these for a few years now, and I finally dug up an old t-shirt (clean of course!) to give this tute a go. It was pretty easy! I modified a bit for the handle, and had to re-sew some of my holes as they were too large and the tangerines fell right through! But overall, I'm happy and excited to use this on my next produce run!

Super cute needle holder. Love the embroidery.

The fire and ice dye was awesome...wish I had snow so I could try something similar.  And the produce bag is adorable. With our new juicer we may need to think about making one of those, Technicolor!

I can't wait to see the Shell Cottage shadowbox. Sounds really detailed.

I'm about to wrap up my OWL. I think tomorrow will be the last day of work and then I can take pictures!!!! I am super excited. A little worried that I won't be able to capture the awesomeness of it all. I'll do my best! Grin

Popped in to post a few projects. Cool

Sorry for all the pin holes in the table.  I had to take the pictures on my cutting table at work!

I love how super bulky yarns work up.

That snow dyeing looks pretty cool!

The jewellery is gorgeous Jennie, not that I'd expect to see any less!  And good going on the squares Pinkleo.  More horcruxes, a "green" bag.. everyone is so busy!

I've got two small projects, as I've been working on my OWL and NEWT.

Challenge: "Grass" bean
House: Gryffindor
Name: GREEN salad

I capitalized the name on purpose, as it's an extremely green salad!  It's a huge bunch of lightly wilted spinach with quinoa on top, half an avocado cubed, hemp hearts, feta and homemade greek dressing.  Very tasty!

Challenge: DADA
House: Gryffindor
Name: Play sushi!

As part of my play food OWL I'm making sushi.  One of the rolls is a california roll, which is perfect for repelling Kappas as they have cucumber in them (at least they do when I make them Wink.  Yum!  I'll show the rest of the pieces I made on Advanced Studies Friday.

Hey there everyone! Sorry I've been m.i.a. For the last few weeks! It's been pretty crazy (read "psychotic") but not in a bad way. As a quick o.w.l update - I finished!! Weeks ago! I will be on tonight and post my results. I also have many other in progress projects going on, most of which will be finished in a day or two.

That said, I have 40 pages to catch up on... Shocked

Better get me some tea, a blanket and an hour of kids nap time to get me going through the first 10 pages lol. Might be a few days  Cheesy

Challenge: Bertie Bott's - Grass
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Vegan Roasted Mushroom Soup & Sweet Potato Biscuits

Project Page Link:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=420644.0
Brief Description: While I'm not actually vegetarian or vegan, I've been trying to eat more vegetarian meals lately.  Both for my health, and for the environmental impact.  Since I also happen to be lactose intolerant, that usually means using vegan recipes to avoid any dairy too.  Going vegetarian or vegan for even a few meals a week can have a huge impact on our planet and our natural resources.  Plus, there's just so much tasty food to try!   Cheesy  Since I already posted the recipe on the cooking board, I'm not going to repost it here.  Just follow the link above to make up your own delicious batch.
