~*Flourish & Blotts Challenge*~

Flourish & Blotts has teamed up with everyone's favorite game "Words with Wizards" for a new challenge.  Your challenge is to craft words into a new Wizard Idiom.  What's an Wizard Idiom?  Wizard Idioms are expressions that are unique to wizarding culture.  And many of them seem to have a connection to Muggle idioms.

A few examples would be: Hold your hippogriffs!  It's no good crying over spilt potion.  Time is Galleons.  Yanking your wand.

So are you a wizard with words?  To turn in your new Wizard Idiom, just type a reply in the HPC thread.  There is ONE entry per person.  Each entry earns 2 House Points, the shiny badge below, and a Chocolate Frog Card.

~*Oooh, you've gotten Felix Summerbee*~

To claim your badge, right click and save to your computer.  Then, you can do whatever you wish with it.  Ideas on how to showoff your badges: use it as an avatar, put it in your profile under Brief Bio, or create a pinterest board for all your badges.  Can't find a badge?  Head to the Badge Station located on the first page, fifth post of this thread.

Class/challenge: Flourish and Blotts Challenge
House: Ravenclaw

As soon as I read this challenge I thought of the scene from Firefly when Jayne says, "If wishes were horses, then we'd all be eating steak."  (Which makes me laugh so hard.) So I based my idiom of the correct saying of "if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride."

So here is my new idiom:
If wishes were broomsticks, then house-elves would ride.

I was thinking the same thing! **grumps** I'll have to think of something else.

Fabulous beginning to the Flourish & Blotts challenge! Grin  All entries are being stored under the Daily Prophet, first page, fifth post and a portkey is being placed in first post.  Need a bit of inspiration? Here's a portkey to a Muggle idiom list. Cool
