can I just check when the Bertie Botts challege deadline is? as in, whne does it change to a new flavour? Sunday, right?

Yep, a new Bertie Bott's Bean will be pulled from the bag on Sunday morning.  Unlike the Detention Challenges, after a new Bertie Bott's mini-challenge has been posted, you cannot submit a previous one.

P.S.  If it helps, I usually post new things on Sunday mornings between 8:00-10:00 am, Central Standard Time.  Since you're several hours ahead of that, you could probably get yours posted that morning before I get up!

ooo...I have the PERFECT item for Detention with Lockheart!!

I bought this button AGES ago at a bead expo - I think it was over a year ago (all the bead expos blend together) that I bought it.

Now to figure out what to do with it.

Ooooh, my OWL project is perfect for this challenge!  The pattern is called I <3 Aran, and is covered in cabled hearts and x and o's, plus it's in a perfect lovey-dovey raspberry pink.

Great projects guys still!  I'm so sorry I can't comment on everyone's projects any more   Moving babies are busy busy busy!  I do go through them all though, and get lots of inspiration   The only time I'd ever wish that craftster looked a bit like facebook - it's so much easier to comment below a post then try to track down everything with a million different tabs open!

Oh and that is one crazy button!   Is it a pie?

My OWL & NEWT Update: I have finished my OWL 2 days early so I will work on a few squares to fill my remaining OWL time.  For my NEWT, I have completed all the remaining middles of the squares.  Okay, back to work.  Be back later!

~*Advanced Studies Friday*~
NEWT Update: I have completed row 31 on my afghan, and am in the middle of row 32.  Only 3 more to go after this one!  Of course that 3.5 row means another 2000 stitches!  According to my estimate I am about 70% complete.  Here's a progress shot:



Now off to dinner, then a whole night of crocheting on the couch with some Netflix while DH is out.

Alrighty! Heres an update on my owl. Iv not done as many as i should but Im easily distracted.lol

Now an assignment Iv been working on for a while
Class/Challenge/House Pride:History of magic
House:Gryffindor!
Project Name:Bicycle girl zombie
Brief Description: Ok this may be a stretch on the requirements lol.but I know thats not a big deal. I LOVE the walking dead and one of my favorite zombies is bicycle girl so I thought Id step away from the cute amigurumi and try to make a scary one. This fits the assignment because an infected person developes a fever as part of the turning process and then the ice part of it is the cold fear that walkers make us feel. Her eyes are standard black safety eyes that i modpodged white tissue paper over.

I finally made some progress on my NEWT today. Not much, but I cut out my interfaced pieces and sewed together some of the squares. I'm still going to put a black border around the smaller square pieces, but here's what I have laid out so far. I've got at least two or three more rows on the bottom, possibly one row wider, plus a border around the whole thing. Not to mention quilting and backing and binding. So still a looooong way to go.
