@Maman: Thanks Cheesy I'm thinking of making it for a doll as practice. I bought a pattern making book and it suggests doing that to get the pattern right before trying to make one for a person.

Alrighty, before I update, I must post some projects...:::putting on my student robes and Gryffie Scarf::: Grin

Class: History of Magic
House Challenge: Lion-along Cool
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: An Absolute Necessity!
Brief Description: I have a weakness and love for mint chocolate chip ice cream.  I try to be good and only keep one pint in the house.  When I finally succumb to my minty chocolate urges, I found that whilst I savored my treat that my hands would become frozen.  So how to keep my hands warm during my ice cream feast?  My solution, an ice cream cozy!  Notice how I made sure everyone knows this cozy is mine....all pink with a lion, though my children contend it looks like a kitten within a cloud....I choose not to listen to such talk.  Anywho, without further to-do...my HoM project, Pinkleo's Pint Ice Cream Cozy.
Project Picture:

YUM!  Pondering on how I can eat this for dinner... Grin

Class: Muggle Studies + SPEW
House Challenge: January Quidditch
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: PRR Checkered Square
Brief Description: I made this Checkers Square for Afghans for Pine Ridge. Smiley
Project Picture:

Class: Transfiguration
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Corvus Necklace
Brief Description: Just a simple necklace to practice my Avis spell.
Project Picture:

Challenge: Bean Challenge: Earwax
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Peaceful Earrings
Brief Description: I just had to snag a Bertie Botts Badge!  So I dove into my stash and whipped up 6 pairs of Peace Earrings.  Now that is 5 too many for me, so if you live in the US, PM me, and I'll send you a pair (first come, first served). Grin

Freakie, I made a ton of children clothing... And I tried making some for myself, but I have two things in the middle of my chest that makes the cloth I make never right Sad So don't discourage yourself after the first try!

Pink, that's an awesome update! Yay for the Quidditch item Cheesy The cozy is just perfect. pffff cat in a cloud...

I bought a yard and a half of tealish blue jersey knit to make another merida dress. But now I'm knitting like crazy so the doll I made for my mom has something to wear on her birthday, which is Thursday...

@pinkleo: I love your ice cream cozy! It's too cute!

@Maman: I have people tell me "If you can make doll clothes you can make people clothes". Which sounds nice but I make clothes for plush dolls that don't have a bust! I'm using a book called "How to Make Sewing Patterns" by Donald H. McCunn for help. It's very easy to understand and has a lot of drawings for aid.
I think my first project from my own pattern will be something easy, like a skirt or a tank top. I'll still make the dress for the doll though for a trial run. I recently found a My Scene doll that needs some clothes that suit my tastes.

Class: Care of Magical Creatures
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Kneazle-inspired pretzels
Brief Description: So I've always wanted to make pretzels, and other than one woebegotten attempt a few years ago, I've been too intimidated to do it! Last night I finally worked up to courage to make a test batch. They were eaten up in about 3 minutes. So I made another batch (a dozen this time) and let the dough sit for a while to get that awesome stripey look! It reminds me of Crookshanks coat. I'm indulging in one as I write this - delish!

If you want to make some - here's the recipe I used - thank you pinterest!

@WhistleFish: Congratulations WhistleFish! Thank you. I live, breathe, and love crochet! LOL

@TechnicolorAquahearts:Love the scarf, when Im finish with my owl I will have to make one or two. Thats a great ideal for flying in the dark. Haha, I can see me now flying around with a neon green owl.

@ErinAquaheart: A banana with a mustache that never crossed my mind. Now that I have seen it, I love it.

@Pottermouth: Yup working hard on this owl, but not today really.

@patty_o_furniture: Mother nature lending a helping hand, so cute.

@Abbeeroad:Thank you.

@pinkleo: Such an adorable lion cozy.
