I chickened out and am changing my N.E.W.T.!!!
Instead of making Vivian:

I signed up for a craftsy class and will be making Portulaca as practice! I had some Patons Classic in a sweater's amount laying around. I decided I spent a lot of money on the yarn for Vivian and I don't want to mess it up. This class should go over how to make a sweater, get a custom fit, and explains a lot about cabling. I know how to cable but it hans't "clicked" yet and I have to look up each cross everytime I get to it. I'll be doing Vivian as a second sweater. For now I give you Portulaca:

Wish me luck Smiley

I haven't been doing anything small crafty for awhile, as I'm working on a sweater for myself (plus my other little crafts just won't fit into the class guidelines right now!) but I thought I'd post a picture of my daughter wearing the sweater set from summer semester (yes, shameless cuteness-sharing).

We had what we call a "bonspiel thaw" the last couple days, so we decided to go out and enjoy it!  I'd change how the yoke was made on the sweater next time, tightening up the neck quite a bit.  It fits through the chest but the neck and shoulders are a bit gapey.

@PenguinSoup: see if you can learn how to cable without a cable needle to make these sweaters!  It's sooooooo much faster, though it's hard to do on anything bigger than a 6-stitch cable.  That's how I'm making my current aran sweater.

As always, marvelous crafting everyone!  I'm sorry I can't comment on everyone's things, but now that baby girl is starting to walk a bit I'm forever baby-chasing!  Who knew that impending toddler-hood could eat into so much craft time?

Aaahhhh the sheep sweater and hat are so cute I could just DIE. I remember seeing them posted and being consumed with jealousy. I just don't think I have the knitting gene. Cute sweater + Cute baby = I'm dead.

Everyone's projects are so awesome!
Since I can't find my measuring tape, I'll buy a new one when I go shopping tomorrow. I'm just glad they're relatively cheap!

I think I'll buy at least two tomorrow.
Let's see, I've lost my hot pink one, my orange one, my yellow one, my mom's yellow one, and my mom's white one.

I bought enough so I now have one stashed at each location that I may have a need for one. There's 2 in my project bag, one beside my bed, and 2 in my sewing box. I haven't lost any since I've done that!
