Oh! Do we have a January Detention yet? I didn't see it, but I've been pretty much blind today because of "too much" cleaning. I think I need to make some of Ant Bee's cookies...

And thanks for the love on my crafts, guys! Elli's party was a super hit and the necklaces went over the moon with the moms. Hooray for my first ever project working with charms!

Challenge: Horcrux Hunt
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Gaunt's Ring, crocheted
Brief Description: I've just found Gaunt's ring. I'm not sure that I want to put it on but it must be destroyed.
Project Picture:

I was trying to decide how to make Gaunt's Ring then I looked at my yarn stash and it hit me: crochet it!

Challenge: Horcrux hunt: To find and destroy, create something that represents or is inspired by Lily Potter
House:Gryffindor
Project Name: Gold fish into a flower transfiguration
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.ravelry.com/projects/FoxySam/gold-fish-into-a-flower/photos
Brief Description: I had to give this a go as soon as I saw the name Lily Potter...so I made the representation of the spell she did and gave to Professor Slughorn to keep...a lovely flower that turns into a fish as soon as it touched water...and here it is!

I figure it also fits under the class for Alchemy since it uses yellow, white and black three of the colours gound in the stages of creating a philosophy stone to create my own work of fish/flower. So:
Class: Alchemy
House: Gryffyndor
Project: Use 2 or more of the colors found in the stages to produce a great work of your own.
I used three of the colours to create my own unique item of a flower that turns into a fish, won't make you live forever but I think kinda cool all the same  Grin

Hope you like it... Grin

Thanks Pinkleo for the pic help I was wandering to why they didn't load.
You are more than welcome!  I'm just happy that it helped. Grin  And I must say I adore all your pieces!  Go Team Helga!

@Ant Bee: Cheesy my house looks like it was hit by the same craftsplosion...but more yarn based Cool  Your cookies look YUM-O, and definitely perfect for breakfast.  See you at the hunt!

@jennie: Wondrous Work! (as always)  Augustbell is one lucky girl to get, as I will now think of them, Stitch Markers of Justice. Grin  And I hope you are recovering well from your recent Hagrid hug; he was just so happy to see a student take such interest in kneazles....he is so fond of kneazles....and dragons....and hippogriffs...and boarhounds....and :::pinkleo goes on to list so many animals that jennie dozes a bit and wakes to find a cup of hot tea, a small stack of shortbread cookies, and a note that reads, "Talk to you again soon!" Kiss:::

@FreakieGeekie: You are definitely on the hunt!  Your Ring of Gaunt is FAB!  Love, love, love to see Hookers* REPRESENT!

@Foxy Sam:  YAY Crochet!  like it?...I LOVE it!  Such a fantastic piece! Shocked  Your hook is truly a magic wand, and you are definitely one of the brightest hooking witches.  Well Done!  Unfortunately Horcrux Hunt items cannot be combined with any classes or challenges.  I shall list it under hunt, but will move if you wish.

*(I meant crocheters....what were you thinking?)

Challenge: Hoiday Recipe
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Tuesday Bread
Project Page Link (if available): Sweet Bread Recipe
Brief Description: Yesterday the littlest ones helped knead out a batch of delicious sweet bread from a recipe that I have used so much the paper is sort of stuck together. Maybe that should be my NEWT- take all of the well-loved recipes from my stash of cookbooks and transfer them to a recipe box. Hmmm...

Anyway:

With Honey Butter:

The recipe is delicious and for the honey butter (it's kinda obvious) I just mix honey with softened sweet cream butter and add a bit of cinnamon and sugar. Yummo.
