Sooo excited about the horcrux hunt!

OWL Subject & Option(if available): Alchemy Option 2 (4 elements)
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Epic Avatar Emproidery
Brief Description: I want to make my first epic embroidery, and Avatar the Last Airbender is my pick! It will be a 5 part project, with an airbender, firebender, earthbender, and waterbender in the four quadrants and the symbols of the countries in the center. I hope to complete at least one quadrant a month, starting with Earth. The design will be based off of the picture in this link.

Wish me luck!

Eeee!  I'm so going horcrux hunting!

I'm going to pick up my old OWL again - a Beatrix Potter birth announcement sampler.  I was wondering though, headmistress, if I could up it to a NEWT?  I've already worked a month and a half on it, and it's going to take at least another month and a half to finish, possibly more.  It's fairly complex.

Hope everyone had wonderful holidays!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

We're on a Horcrux hunt and don't think we don't know how to weed 'em out! (had a Spongebob moment there, whoopsie.) Can't wait to get back into the groove of school; these holidays really put a halt on my studies and we can't have that!  Cheesy

FreakieGeekie, crafting frustration is the worst! Have some tea, eat some cake, and try later. It will be fantastic and I can't wait to see that plushie Snape!

Let's go hunting!

Class: Arithmancy
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Ripple infinity scarf and glove set
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=418505.0
Brief Description: This set of three items in three different colors was made for myself. I went to a fiber arts convention in early December where I purchased this wonderfully soft yarn in some cool wintery colors. The set took about 8 days to complete.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Horcrux Hunt - Hufflepuff's Cup
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: 2-ply Alpaca Handspun
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=418682.0
Brief Description: *Noooooooooooooo* wails a faint voice in the background as Hufflepuff's Cup is destroyed. This destroyer-of-horcruxes was inspired by Miss Hermione Granger. Back in her 4th year, she decided that she wanted to save the house elves (even if they didn't want it). To do this, she knitted lots of little hats and hid them around Gryffindor Tower. What did she knit with? Yarn, of course!

And now for an OWL update.
I started with some sketches and a color study of my koi. I decided to focus on a variety of koi fish called Matusba. I found them to be extra majestic and pretty. I love how flow-y they are and colorful.

Other than they whiskers, Tina (the owner of the studio), loved them! She thought the whiskers were just too masculine looking. We decided that only a few of the final fish will have them. I posted the paintings of my koi that I did for her in my arithrimancy project. (I won't post them again)
This is the studio floor I am painting. What you can't see in this picture is the cubby that I am standing in is about 6x12 feet.

So now I am working on putting the chalk fish onto the floor. Already have tried twice. The first time the fish were too big and then I had problems making the design not chaotic. Hopefully third time IS the charm and both Tina and I will be happy with the result.

An unexpected problem to solve with this OWL is timing and scheduling. Things take a lot longer than you think when you have to work with a VERY busy persons schedule! LOL!

The Order is looking for new members to thwart dark wizards and witches.  To see if you have what it takes, the Order has devised a challenge called the Horcrux Hunt.

Every time I think that it's not possible to love you even more than I already do, you prove me wrong.   Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss
