Hope everyone had a Happy Holiday!  Awesome stuff, guys! Way to stay productive through the holidays! Sorry I've been a bit MIA, lots of family time and new (to me!) Zelda are to blame. But I'll be back soon. Lovin everyone's recipes! And that grim hoopla is siriously awesome (see what I did there?).

I'm looking forward to being re-inspired by everyone in 2013!!

It feels good to be back at Hogwarts after the holiday break.  There we so many great projects while I was away!  Now off to update news in the Tower and then head back to the dormitories for some much needed rest and tea as I have come down with the annual post-christmas plague... where's Madam Pomfrey when you need her?

There are so many awesome things that people have been doing! I've been busy myself and have several things to post. First...

Class/House Pride: House Unity
House: Slytherin
Project Name: House Crest Ornaments
Project Description: I wanted all the houses to be represented on our little tree this year, so I cracked out the felt and embroidery supplies and made these little darlings.

I'm having to put my OWL on hold. I'm going to have to work on the Herbology assignment because there's been a bit of a mishap. I'll explain the mishap when I post up my Herbology work.

Question: Aren't Ravenclaw's colors blue and bronze? I want to know because I've been asked to crochet a scarf in Ravenclaw's colors and I don't want to get it wrong.

In the books Ravenclaw's colors are blue and bronze, but in the films they are blue and grey.  You should check with the person who asked you to crochet the scarf to see what they would like.  Smiley

Um, Professor?  I don't have my Defense Against the Dark Arts homework.  My husband ate it....  I'll have to hand it in late.  Sad

According to the books is what I was told. I couldn't get to my Harry Potter books to check so thank you very much!

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Apparition
House:Slytherin
Project Name: Hermione's Sleeping Draught Cupcake Hoopla
Brief Description: I have insomnia really bad so I thought that one of Hermione's sleeping draught cupcakes would help me get some sleep. Thus being the magical remedy that would qualify for the Apparition homework assignment.
Project Picture:

This was my very first Hoopla, and it was so fun and turned out so cute that I think I may have found a new crafty addiction!

@TechnicolorAquahearts: I love that hoolpa! So freaking cute! Awesome job on your first one!

@ErinAquaheart: I love the ornaments. What a simple way to include some HP goodness on your tree.

I have been following this thread for some time now and I am so amazed at all the wonderful projects I have seen! My daughter (TechnicolorAquahear ts) let me know that what I was doing is called lurking and I should get the courage to post my own projects.  Grin
So here are a couple of the things I have made while crafting with my daughter and her girlfriend this Christmas.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Potions
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Mini Hoopla commemorating our white Christmas
Brief Description: This project fits the Potions assignment because it is a mini hoop that is only 4 inches across making it no bigger than 4x4x4
Project Picture:

It's been a long time since I have done any needle work so it was very fun and refreshing. We all made hooplas together as one of our holiday activities and it was so fun!

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Study Of Ancient Runes
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Santa Sequin Ornament
Brief Description: This fits the Ancient Runes Assignment because it is a craft that commemorates the christmas of 2012 for our family.
