I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Ok I had a bit of an idea today and I thought you might help me.

I have a favorite shoe that is cloth. I normally wear it through and then buy new ones, but now that I'm crafty I'm thinking I might sew a patch or something over the worn spot. Problem is, does anyone know how to sew on a shoe?

I'm going to try and channel my best Luna Lovegood.
I will be sewing patches over the holes in the shirts for my NEWT in traditional punk rock style: big eyed needle and dental floss. It'll work with shoes, too, but make sure you have a sharp needle and a thimble (and maybe some needle-nosed pliers) Good luck!

Eiseldora- You should look into glueing a patch, I saw some tutorial about that around.

WhistleFish- It's coming along nicely!

pottermouth-I don't know what's in Dc Bronner and never used it (I guess we don't even have that in Canada). If you filled your dolls with wool that has plant residue (like I do!) The black spot are likely to be that. Let your dolls dry and it'll disapear once again under the fabric. Hope that helps!

Jen- The accorn earings are fabulus!!!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on the hat and boots. I feel like spinning more yarn now that I've knitted all I made already!

I've started hunting!! wanna see?

Snape has pants now too. I just don't feel like taking a picture.
I feel like if I photograph him, I'll jinx it. Then again, I'm just a little crazy and tired at the moment =w=
I think I'm trying to do too much at once but I can't help it! D:
I'm drawing concepts of a costume for a poppet I'm making based on an online friend's character and getting things together to make a poppet for my sister. Thankfully her poppet will have a really simple outfit whereas the other guy's is complex as hell.
Snape is glaring at me from my dresser, wanting the rest of his clothes (shoes and cloak) and his wand. And I have a Jareth poppet sitting on our printer in the buff, staring at his toes, waiting on his clothing too.

@Freakie, Snape must be simply livid! I can't imagine how surly he must be as he waits the return of his dignity (and his wand!)

Happy SPEW Sunday!  I have a SPEW post for you Pride and Prejudice lovers:  If you go to www.parade.com/Austen (the Parade Magazine website) you can download a free copy of the novel in honor of the 200th anniversary.

I'll have more to post later, but vacuuming waits for no (wo)man!

Enjoy the day!

The booties and hat are adorable!  Great bracelet and grats on the NEWT progress!  I can also just picture that Snape poppet glaring.  I'd probably have to lock him in a closet at night! And cute, soft-looking cowl!

Another project:

Class: Arithmancy
House: Gryffindor
Name: Dolly diaper kit

Our goddaughter just turned 2, and her mom asked me if I could sew her some dolly diapers.  She has several of the animator's series of Disney princesses (they're how the animators envisioned they'd look as toddlers) as well as some other dollies that don't actually fit regular dolly diapers you can buy.  I took a pattern off my own collector's doll (my husband gave me/our daughter Belle and Rapunzel the Christmas before she was born) using masking tape and made some that would fit!  I couldn't just leave it there, so I made a matching little wipes set and change mat, bring it to a set of three types of things.

The little wipes are just rectangles of flannel with pinked edges, and I've folded them in a way so that the next wipe pops up when you pull one out Smiley  I realize that will last all of one round through the wipes since she's 2, but hey it's cute for now!
