Thanks for all the comments on the pancakes but I posted them so you could make them. Go, do it for breakfast or dinner this week. You MUST try these, they are the yummiest thing ever and you're missing out without it.

I made them with salted butter before and they were fine and I've also made them lactose free and they were great as well. Modifications are fine with these delicious yummies.

Sakuracat, I love Luna's hat and scarf!
Everyone's doing so well! I'm working on Snape as well as a swap project. I'll try to work on Snape tonight after work.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Class/Challenge: Horcrux Hunt/Tom Riddle's Diary
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Diary of a Slytherin Elf
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: Just when I thought the holidays were behind me, I discovered a tiny present left for us by our Christmas elf, Alton. It seems he has chronicled his last visit in a tiny diary titled Antics of an Elf.

Here's a few of the pictures inside:

Don't really know what was happening here.

Hitching a ride:

There are so many more (I know, I know...) but I'll spare you. Now you need to go back to page 47 and see if you can spot him in the picture posted there. Wish I had more time to be here- hope I don't fail!

@noodle-bug: Amazing cowl! I made a couple for gifts this Christmas...this makes me want to make one for myself!

@pinkleo: Another pretty afghan! I just made my hat at of that kind of yarn...so soft. I could only imagine how cozy a blanket of it would be.

@CraftyLadyMJ:
Off to a great start!

@jennieingram: Thanks for posting the recipe...I think I may have to make these next year for gifts as well!

@PenguinSoup: These look AMAZING! The BF loves cinnamon rolls and I think he would really appreciate these. Maybe I'll surprise him sometime.

@sakuracat23: This is so cute!!! And yummy looking cookies!

@pottermouth: I love this! I think we're going to do Elf on the Shelf next year and I totally want to do this afterward.

NEWT Update:  Finished the first 7 rounds on my afghan yesterday afternoon.  (It's now bigger than a potholder & smaller than a placemant.)  People here in Kentucky were freaking out about potential weather problems yesterday, so I went and did my two errands after getting out of work at noon, then curled up in my favorite chair and started my project.  My first attempt at the gauge was way too big.  (I thought that hook seemed awfully large!)  Turned out to be 5" instead of 4".  So I went down a hook size, and all seems well now.

Also, ended up changing my yarn plan slightly.  When I went to pick up the Grape yarn, I noticed that another shade of purple called Barrington matched a lot better.  It has little flecks of teal in it to match the Lagoon.  Cheesy

@sakuracat: I love that Luna lion hat!!! So cute and absolutely perfect!

@pottermouth: Those Elf pictures are the coolest I've seen yet. I love the Knight Bus one!

Jennie, we had snow and sleet yesterday and people just absolutely lose their minds when that happens here! Schools start closing and people flood the supermarkets in mass hysteria.
