Whoopsie daisy, I've changed the quote, never even thought about it. I remember being on a forum where cutting out the images from quotes would happen automatically Smiley Ah, if I was still routinely crafting php source code, I could maybe write a function to do this and send it to the admins. I'm out of practice though...

Can you donate a prize if you don't have a shop? I really love the Diagon Alley idea and I wouldn't mind contributing.

EDIT: I saw that the thread is pinned now, is that because so many projects are being posted?

Yay Diagon Alley!! I'm so in it Smiley Can't wait to see my shop along the prestigious DA's other shops!

Just had an idea!! maybe doing a class give you 1 galleon, and owls gives you 5 and newt 10. People can use them to buy their chance of winning something? like 5 galleons for a chance? that would motivate people with the class as well? I realize it's more work, though...but it'll be cool Smiley

Diagon Alley!! How exciting!! I have a question and thought others might, too, so I'll ask here rather than via PM:
I would love to donate a prize, but I don't have an online shop to link to. May I still offer an item with a description without a link?

Can you donate a prize if you don't have a shop? I really love the Diagon Alley idea and I wouldn't mind contributing.

YES!  You can donate to Diagon Alley if you don't have a shop.  (I did! Cool)  Just send a PM with item being offered.  And THANK YOU! Kiss

No worries, it is a rule many don't know.  I would adjust myself if I was a mod, but alas, I'm not.

And I noticed the thread is pinned too.  No one gave me a reason; it just happened.  But I know it is because HPCers are so awesome! Grin

I love this thread but holy smokes does it move fast! I leave for a few hours and come back to two, sometimes three, new pages of awesome things to look at! Cheesy
It also makes me see how productive others are and it reminds me that I need to get myself in gear if I'm going to help Slytherin stand half a chance at the House Cup!

When do you need to know about diagon alley donations? I'd like to offer something but I'm pretty tight on craft time until after christmas so I won't be able to do anythying til after then - also, I'm guessing the items need to be Potter themed? and do they have to be crafted, or maybe a parcel of wizardy-craft-supplies?
I don't have anything in mind just yet, but just a couple of queries  Grin

Fab questions... Grin

Diagon Alley Answers
---You can put details in your PM about when item will be available.  Most drawings will be at the end of semester.
---Items do not have to be Harry Potter themed.
---Parcels of crafty supplies, kits, & books are always welcome.

Bloody hell, you lot are brilliant! Twelve days in and over 30 pages of stunning work. It's worn me out just looking through them. I'm so glad to be back at Hogwarts again...  Grin

Thank you to the people who complimented my Zombie doll in the Fall Semester thread! Cheesy My bff loves him (as did many others, to whom I had to shout "NO NEVER AGAIN" when they asked me for one, because I value my sanity!  :'))

Anyway, to make up for my late arrival, here's my first project!

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Alchemy (& Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice?)
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Quidditch Colours Fingerless Gloves
Brief Description: I went to my first muggle Quidditch match earlier this month, to support my friend's university team, the Reading Rocs, whose kit colours are red, black and gold. So it was a neat fit for my Alchemy homework (not to mention Quidditch practice! I reckon they'd be handy for a Chaser...  Wink) So I knitted myself up a pair of fingerless gloves to show my support. Although the weather was freezing, and the second game lasted over an hour due to an incredibly tricky Snitch, so my fingers were almost falling off by the end! I think next time I'll make proper mittens...

I'm having such a hard time keeping up with this thread.  Everyone is so productive!  I decided it was time that I got around to turning in some homework of my own.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Alchemy
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Jayne Hat
Brief Description:  I have made several Jayne hats over the years (both for swaps and for friends) but I had never made one for myself... so I did.  I have a short head (hats are usually too tall on me and either cover my eyes or have to be rolled up) so I left out a few rows and I think I may have left out one too many.  It's a tad bit on the small side. The top stripe represents Citrinitas (yellow) and the ear flaps Rubedo (red).  Pretty cunning, don't you think?
