If you google "Junker Jane" and select "images", you will quickly see that her art dolls are a wonderful mix of creepy, cute, shabby, and fun.  Susanab and I love her work, and we would love to have a LOT of our fellow Craftster-ers join us in a swap of dolls based on Junker Jane's style.

We will start sign ups this weekend (probably Sunday, Dec. 2) and announce partners two weeks later.  We will allow a little over four weeks to craft one doll plus one small-ish extra (it could be another doll, or something off your partner's pinterest, or just something you think she would like), with send-outs on January 18th.

If you are unsure about your ability to make a doll like this, take a look at this post on Susan's blog, The Sloppy Sewer.  She shows how she made a very simple doll based on Junker Jane's style.  Using that as a starting point, you can make your doll as simple or as complicated as you want.

Interested?

I bought a JunkerJane doll for myself a few years ago with my holiday bonus from school. I keep her wrapped up in an acid-free bag - I took this photo for susanab a while back.

And of course, I have this awesome Hungry Monster Nom Nom doll, made by susanab, in the JunkerJane style!

So I'm a lucky girl!

GAAAA!!!  You have a real Junker Jane doll, Smmarrt???!!!  Great things will be expected of you, you know!

I LOVE susanab's hungry monster--the influence is undeniable.  I haven't tried my hand at this style yet, I hope I can measure up!

Kinda loving the primative style of these, but I'm not familiar with these. I'll definitely be thinking about joining this swap! I'm almost done with the 12 days of Christmas and I'm looking for some new ones.

I also love the un-matching fabrics - I often have a scrap of something I love, but not enough to make both arms/legs/ears.
