Carlee, what can I say. These are amazing. Still ART, but if you want to call them doodles, well go for it. I'm a fan.

very nice! I can't decide if I like the tree or the flowery one the most. The color explosion must have taken forever to color! Smiley

Sometimes I really hate words like doodle and zentangle because they minimize how great abstract line drawing can be. These are definitely great! I love the tree and the colored one the best, but they are all awesome!

I agree.  I know my drawings often get referred to as zentangles but I personally don't like that term as in my opinion that describes a commercialized process.  And I did similar drawings in high school long before I ever heard of zentangle.

And while I do call them doodles they are a bit more involved than that.

I do like "abstract line drawings".  Maybe thats what I will call them from now on.

Oh wow....just found your work and LOVE...LOVE...LOVE them all...but especially the tree!!!  All of them are wonderful!!!  I have just started doing zentangle recently, but I agree.  When I am going by zentangle patterns I almost always if not always end up doing more of my own doodling rather than going just by the patterns.  You are so right!!!  Heck I used to doodle all the time when I was in high school sitting there bored, lol.  Yep....bad habit of mine instead of listening to the teachers, lol.
