I love the cool designs on the Mistic bottles and have kept a few for repurposing... but can't think of anything useful to turn them into. :/ Any crafty ideas?

make homemade vanilla (which is so much better for you than the extract); or cordials; or infused vinegar/oil; things like that, maybe?

Mydda, that is an excellent idea. I've seen a lot of recipes for homemade vanilla extract. Great if you do a lot of baking.

I have a split personality, because you guys crack me up.  AND The best day I ever had was TODAY!

I love making homemade vanilla - I bake a lot too.  Those bottles do have a great shape and texture.  You could take the labels off - I presume that the glass is smooth under the label.  That makes a great place to add a stencil and etch a label or image to.  Or use bakeable/permanent glass paint and decorate them.  Then the bottles would be great for gifting vanilla - or use it for gifting homemade sauces - BBQ, marinades, sweet sauces for desserts.  Or for dry mixes like hot chocolate, spices for mulling, etc.  If you have a lot of them, and want to keep them for personal use, I would etch names of spices onto them and use them for dry spice storage, or for organizing small items for my crafts.

If you are not interested in food gifts - what about for gifting bath salts or scrubs too?

I have seen light fixtures and chandeliers made out of glass bottles.

I saw some awesome hanging baskets using wine bottles on pinterest... perhaps you could do something similar... Here's the link from Pinny:
