Another wedding, another blanket.  Krystal wants a winter wonderland wedding, so instead of creating my own pattern, I used Red Heart's Dusty Snowflake Throw. http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/pattern-correction-dusty-snowflake-throw  I love the vibrant multi colored blue it uses.  However, I'm not making a scratchy blanket.  Instead, I went to Hobby Lobby and bought I Love This Yarn! in the color Denim.  For white, I used Simply Soft.

Since this blanket is for two people, I made it larger than it is in the pattern.  It is ten rows of eight large motifs, making it 67" by 80".  That required about 11.7 of the 5 oz multi colored skeins, and 3.4 of the 6 oz white.  I also changed the border.  Looking at other people's projects on ravelry, I found this border by franknjim: http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/red-heart-lovers/1848262/76-100#95

This was an easy blanket that did not require as much time as my two previous blankets.  I started it September 12th and worked on it after work a few days a week.  There might have been a few weeks I didn't work on it at all.  I finished the border the night before Thanksgiving, but I didn't get a chance to finish weaving in the ends until yesterday.  So, without further ado, here are the pictures.

Thank you for linking to the pattern too.

Wow, really beautiful, what a great present! The background is perfect, it creates an illusion of more snow tumbling down further away. It really looks like a sky full of snow.

This turned out beautiful!  I have recently started this pattern myself in time for the season.  I thought about buying Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in Denim but I went with the Red Heart because it's so bright...but it is so scratchy, I think I'm going to back it with fleece when its done.

Thanks!  I was in Walmart today and saw that Red Heart had a new yarn, With Love.  It had a similar multi blue yarn to what the pattern calls for, and it was soft!  I wish I had seen it three months ago!
