My daughter is obsessed with my little ponies, almost as much as I was when I was little. She has the figurines for all of the major ponies from the Friendship is Magic series, but she does not yet have nightmare moon. I've been making a lot of stuff for sale lately, and it's been making her feel left out since I she can't play with the stuff I make. When I read that the challenge was about midnight, I immediately thought of nightmare moon and figured I would make it for the challenge and let my little girl keep it.
Details - her body and legs are made from four pipe cleaners. Her head was shaped from wool batting and felted onto the body, which also has a wool batting core within the skeleton. Her horn was the only none needle-felted item. I wet felted it to make it a little more stiff. I took a wisp of black wool and rubbed it with hot water and dish soap, then rolled it between my palms like making a snake. The wings and ears were flat felted on a sponge and then attached. She is about five inches tall and she took me two nights to make

thanks  Smiley I always leave out toys I've made for the kids somewhere they can find it the next morning. My daughter (she's almost 4) found it as soon as she got up and came to my room with it. She had a huge grin on her face and asked if she was done and ready to play with. I said "yes, she's all yours" and she just sat there grinning and bouncing on her feet for a few minutes before running off to make her fly around the house!
