started the christmas crafting Wink
ive seen a fair few of these around and loved the idea. finally got around to trying my hand at this Smiley i originally planned to use metal hooks but i couldnt find any where locally that sold them, and was too impatient to order them online (you guys know what its like when you get a certain project in your head... Embarrassed ) i was a little worried that the wood would swell and crack the clay but i kept the clay reasonably thick and used minimal water when sanding the finished pieces and they turned out just fine  Smiley

i ended up covering the sizes with clay so i need to add those with a sharpie (thankfully i kept a note of which colour was which size...im not usually this organized Huh ) im pleased with these though, i might have to make a few more...im sure its not right that the spots outnumber the stripes...

When I saw the thumbnail photo of these I thought it was some kind of candy; they're so colorful! Wonderful work, makes me  Smiley just looking at them.

How could anyone not want to crochet with these!   Wink
There so colorful and fun - I'd love to see what a set of these looks like with the colorful metal ends.

those are the most beautiful crochet hooks I have ever seen.  I'm experimenting right now crocheting with an padded hook to see if it reduces the carpel tunnel effects of crocheting for me.  If so I may need to try this with my regular hooks so I don't need to replace them all.

thank you. Smiley i dont do much crochet work  but the larger handles make the smaller hooks easier to use if you have larger fingers so it might be worth trying. you can texture the clay too to make the hooks less slippery. i hope it helps Sad

Very cool! I haven't worked with polymer clay before so I don't know if my suggestion is doable. Next time you could try stamping the letter size into the handle before you fire them.
