A friend and I were talking about this recently, what would interest be like for a swap based around the epic TV mini-series the 10th Kingdom?

Such a great series that explored so many different aspects of fairy tales that we could see all sorts of fun stuff, dwarven mirror trinkets, a peeptown doll, replica singing ring?  And of course the trolls have threatened nasty things if there isn't something to do with shoes.

I've not been active on Craftster in a long time, but this might bring me back. As long as it's not a gigantic swap I might join Smiley

Yes! Yes, please, oh please yes! I could think of so many things to make! Glad to know people still think about that series, it's too good to be forgotten.

Yeah that replaced the old Dennis Leary quote I used to use "Bring me a live cow to the table, I'll carve off what I want and ride the rest home."

So it looks like we may have a good group, especially if we allow a fairly long sign up period.

When would people like to see this?

I think that if you open the signups in December, late December maybe, and keep it open for a month (think that was the maximum time you can have the signup open, but I could be wrong since it's ages since I hosted a swap). I think most people wouldn't mind starting to craft in the middle of January. Hopefully someone else has another suggestion if they don't like this.

And since I'm taking a break from my other hobbies, I can co-host if it's needed Smiley

And I as well love that quote jennythor, the writers did such a great job

if this happened I probably couldn't resist. I have watched it about a million times. Perfect show if you have to clean the house or do a LONG project.

Agreed Gozer. I love cross-stitching or crocheting to that movie  Cheesy

And I think I could swing a late december sign-ups with a january work load ^^ I just need to find my copy of it now. It's like Lord of the Rings---every few yeas I get the urge to have a marathon and watch them all the way through.  Wink

Did I end up missing this one?  I have the DVD set right next to my TV, and it's one of my favorite mini series.   If it hasn't started yet, I'd love to do it.

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!
