Meet Finickus, a strange, curious little elf!
Straight from Christmas Town, he is here to reside on my shelf.
Finickus is a little different as you can probably see,
His idea of Christmas is skewed to a certain degree.
Let me explain his strange and peculiar attire;
It all started when he saw that elves were for hire.
His first day on the job, Fin arrived early to Santa’s workshop.
Eager to meet the man himself, he ran then came to a jarring stop.
Expecting to see a jolly, round man with a beard on his chin,
He instead came face to face with a tall thin frame with a skeleton grin!
You see, one fateful fall night, changes began taking place all around,
A tall, thin skeleton man was dazzled by something he had found.
Bored of Halloween Town and his reign as the Pumpkin King,
This skeleton known as Jack found Christmas Town and loved every single thing.
Excited and mystified, Jack knew just what he wanted to do,
He returned to his home with plans of something completely new.
Jack saw no reason that he could not take over Santa’s job for that year,
And with that he put his friends to work, spreading Christmas cheer.
It was the same fateful day that Jack arrived to take Santa’s place,
That Finickus also arrived and saw this new face.
Though surprised and caught off guard by this skeleton Santa fraud,
Finickus immediately loved him and saw nothing odd.
Well, long story short, Jack’s days as Kris Kringle were short-lived,
And after that, Fin, sadly, just didn’t fit in.
He loved bats and pumpkins and ghostly delights!
And spooky music that gives most beings a fright!
It’s not that he doesn’t like Christmas or warm fuzzy feelings,
He just has a different view of what is appealing.
But finally this year Santa thought of something great!
Elves were not only needed for making toys 365 days straight.
A new job-calling had arisen for elves,
An endeavor of watching over humans while hiding on shelves.
Santa knew he needed to send Finickus to Pooky,
A gal just as odd and fond of Jack and all things spooky.
Upon his arrival Finickus squeed at all the Halloween-Christmas decor,
And now they both never worry about not fitting in anymore.

I named him Finuckus because he was rather finicky in the process of being made! Normally dolls take me no time at all, but he took forever!
He is wearing Harem pants with Halloween patches and even has a hidden Mickey which is quite relevant to me if you know any of my back story.

His shoes are my favorite!

Thanks for checking out my little elf! I am so glad FoxyBlue hosted a Shelf Elf contest on her facebook because she gave me quite a challenge!
