I've been given a pair of Trousers my buddy uses for Skiing to repair (if I can). The inside of the ankle area has a few small tears from the skis getting caught on the fabric. He suggested Leather to patch this area but that would be affected by the wet snow. So I thought Denim. The Ski trousers are a Waterproof fabric so he doesn't want the same fabric or the same thing will happen.

I'm eager to do this right first time and with a repair/patch job that can last, so who better to ask than the Craftster geniuses/Geniui?!!

So what's best to use use Ladies & Gents?

Thanks in advance for your help

If the waterproof part is that thin nylon lining stuff, then just about anything fairly sturdy should do the trick. Denim would probably be fine to use.
