My Fall Ball dress started out as a a wedding dress I got from goodwill to take my senior pictures in:

I knew I wanted to make it into something I could wear for Fall Ball my freshman year in college, so I grabbed some navy, lime green, and fuchsia fabric dye, and some brushes, and went to work with the cream colored satin as my canvas Smiley

Then I decided to add a black halter top and a rhinestone pin in the middle:

A week before the dance, I decided to be a little ambitious and turn my long elegant gown into a short bubble skirt with pickups. I was up until there am the night before the dance finishing it! But it was so worth it Smiley Here is the final dress!

I was really happy with how it came out! I had never sewn in pickups before. Glad I decided to make it instead of by Smiley Now I have to figure out what to make for spring fling! Smiley Comments and criticism welcome!

You and the dress are gorgeous and oh so creative! Great idea to do your senior pictures in the wedding gown, so dramatic and beautiful. Then changing it up and painting the dress--stellar.

I love the colour, design and style of your dress.  It's beautiful.
