Cord skirt with leaf applique

Drafted from scratch as an A-Line skirt. First made a poplin sloper, which became the underskirt. I added a row of broderie Anglaise at the hem to the same length as the cord skirt. The appliques I just basted on by hand then machine appliqued.

This is a super cute skirt! I love the blue and how the leaves pop against it. Very well made!
