Yesterday for the apocalypse the power in our part of town went out! Yay! Ha ha. Happily the suck from not having internet or a way to cook was alleviated by receiving my FANTASTIC package from dreadlady! I've been seriously spoiled. <3 <3 Thank you so much, I'm so in love with everything. We move in 2 weeks so I'm itching to get these goodies up in our Dr. Who themed nursery.

She sent a painted plaque of the TARDIS. It was a terribly overcast day and with no power I didn't have the best lighting so you can't see the glittery background very well.



Matching the background, she also painted a set of hanging picture frames. I'm going to use a TARDIS blue ribbon to hang it up, and I've already found and cut pictures of my brother and sisters to fill it with. My siblings all live across the country and I was wanting to put pictures of them up in the nursery for the babe to see. This is so perfect!



Check out the detail on the colorwork! It's really beautiful and reminds me of deep space imagery of galaxies.



She printed out a Dr. Who/Dr. Seuss mashup and put it in a frame that's painted a metallic blue. This really touched me, especially because a while back my husband and I came across a story about a dad who bought Oh the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss when his daughter was starting kindergarten and had her teachers every year write a message to her in the cover from K-12th grade. It made us tear up and we want to do that as well. Perfect picture is perfect.



And then there was this pair of tiny felt moccasins! They're so beautiful, I can't even get over it. I keep picking them up and squealing happily over them, ha ha.



I feel so completely spoiled and amazed with dreadlady's incredible package. Thank you so much!

I love, love, LOVE the Dr Who stuff!  I'd put that in my own room. Haha

I know my partner received some time ago, so I'll try to post pictures soon.  I took them with my mum's camera because mine was acting up, so I'll ask her to email them tomorrow.

I received my package from the most amazing angel of all time, Rhymesworange!!  My nephew, little Nickolas Christopher, was born 2 weeks ago, so the timing couldn't have been better.

First off, a quilt!!



My sister absolutely loves the colours, it looks so good in the nursery.

And then, as if that wasn't enough...



A crocheted viking hat, a knit cap with hand-made felt patch, and red converse booties!!  His auntie Rachel is a big Whovian nerd, so you'd better believe he'll be getting a little blue pinstripe suit when he grows into the shoes.

I never did post pics of what I sent to boystress, so here it is:  A short-sleeved cardigan with a headband for the new baby, hats for baby and big sister, and a butterfly mobile.  I also sent some Dora crayons and colouring books.
