Thanks guys. Really its easier than it looks if just a bit labor intensive, and if we didn't like labor intensive projects we wouldn't be on craftster right?

Absolutely which is why I am procrastinating on my project.

This pie is also too pretty to eat, I would be of that mindset for maybe 15 minutes (about the time I would allow it to cool).

That looks so pretty! Making your own pie crust is pretty easy. Especially if you have a pastry cutter or a food processor. If you have the patience to arrange all those apples then you sure as heck can make a pie crust:P
