Wow, that tree skirt is so amazing...almost too amazing to use only at Christmas!  Tapestrymlp, I think you may have to extend the holiday season at your house for an extra month or two!

This was my thought too!! It will be impossible to pack up and put away after the holidays!! It's just too awesome.

Okay, here is the utterly enchanting piece I received from microjivvy. Jivvy, my apologies for not posting pictures sooner, darkness and timing are my only excuses.
One of the things on my list was Victorian Christmas trees and my gosh, did jivvy deliver!


This beauty is just shy of 11 inches tall and decorated with entirely hand made objects. The details are incredible. The cones are reproductions of Victorian ornaments found in the 1896 Cassell's Household Guide... http://books.google.com/books?id=G0sCAAAAQAAJ&pg=PA120#v=onepage&
All the garland is real popcorn bits, the star is exquisitely made  and ( I think) from gold origami  paper. It is tiny.
There are candles on the tree, just as there would have been back in the 19th century.

A charming paper dollhouse and a sweet little elephant pull toy that really works!


micro used the top of an old cigar box as the base for a lovely wooden floor.....



And most wonderful....it lights up!


My pictures cannot do justice to the wonderful detail and beauty of this tree. Thank you jivvy! It's gorgeous and I love it so.

WOW! When I first scrolled through the pics (before reading) I thought someone had sent a full sized decorated xmas tree!! Every single detail is so spot on. Awesome work!!
