I received a WONDERFUL package from the always awesome alwaysinmyroom!!

First up, the whole package.  As I was opening the box I thought, "Do I smell peppermint?"  Sure enough, she chose my candy cane theme, and everything was red, white and minty!!

I'm so glad she sent the candy, because I was fresh out, and I am a candy fiend!  There's even a candy-cane-shaped nail file!

This beautiful wreath must have taken forever!  It took my breath away when I opened it. The poinsettias are made of paper, cut and folded.  This is the second time she's made this wreath (the first one was for her sister) and she swore at that time NEVER AGAIN!  But she broke her vow to create me this lovely Christmas decoration.  I love it so much!!! It will go on the inside of the front door, where I can see it all the time.

Even the back of the wreath is pretty!

I LOVE this felt heart ornament made of two candy canes!  This is so sweet, and well done.  I adore it!  And I'm so excited to have a new ornament for my tree, which is all stuffed animals and candy canes.

And that's not all!  Look at this tiny trio of trees--made from cupcake liners!  (I've never seen pretty liners like this before!) Each liner has been cut into scallops around the edges.  Beautiful!  These will go on the mantel.

Alwaysinmyroom even sent a special card, made with a batik fabric cat (because she knows I love cats)!

Linda, thanks so much for this wonderful, beautiful package of Christmas cheer!  You are such a thoughtful partner, I was so lucky to get you!!

First off, glad to see you back, pilarfarmer! I hope your computer and Craftster continue to get along. I tried to repost your photos for you, but unfortunately they are not showing up in your Craftster gallery. Homerof2 told me that she can only post one photo at a time when she's using IE, but can post multiple photos using Firefox. Can you try using that? If that doesn't work for you, maybe you could email your photos to me and I'll post them.

alwaysinmyroom, what a lovely wreath. It's gorgeous! As is the little candy cane heart ornament and the paper trees. Too cute!

Oh, Leslie--I don't want to discourage anyone from making a paper flower wreath! Cheesy  It is just time consuming but really pretty easy and quick once you get in the rhythm of it! Cheesy

Here is the excellent tutorial I used:

http://missfancypants.typepad.com/little_miss_fancy_pants/2009/09/fancy-this-christmas-wreath.html

The cupcake trees can stack to make one tree if you use a smaller topper...I used foam stars but I think next time I will use something not so bendy...I lost a few during the making process!

There was a horrible incident where my dog got into the candy canes, wrapper and all, and nearly destroyed a project that was a total fail...candy canes are prone to melting when left out and using shellac on them is not a good idea!

Glad you like everything, Leslie!  The wreath can also be used as a centerpiece if you'd like.  I forgot that I had sprayed the one for my sister with shellac to make it last longer and give it a shine!

But, honestly, I don't want to see red and white for a while.... Cheesy

You've definitely captured the "candy cane" in that package!  The wreath is so pretty, love the little cupcake liner trees too Smiley

yeah--I overestimated how much I needed for the failed project so the remaining six boxes will be crushed to make peppermint bark and peppermint cookies! Cheesy
