Beautiful work, and great job sticking with it and finishing by when you wanted to.  I probably would have given up by boxing day (I remember getting a cross stitch kit for Christmas once and if I didn't give up by boxing day than by New Year's for sure).

This is lovely! I am amazed you committed to finishing it in a year, I know I wouldn't be able to!

I love it! Who cares if it's from a kit? You did a great job on it! I never finish projects and think it's great that you stuck it out to the end! Heck, I just found a half-finished hydrangea cross-stitch that I started in 1996 that's probably going to stay that way for another 16 years...

This is so beautiful! I agree, who cares where it comes from or if it's a kit as long as you are creating something. This is just amazing work. Great job!

Orange swan, we are not all called to do the same thing.  You too played your part.  Your skill and determination were needed to make this come alive as the thing of beauty that it is.  Without them, it's an interesting design on a piece of fabric which could come to grief in less capable hands.  Be proud of what you have achieved and enjoy it .  Merry Christmas!

This is absolutely gorgeous! Being a cross stitcher myself, I can only imagine the amount of time and effort you put in to this. Good job!
