It looks like a pretty basic pattern, but I'm not sure how to get the front edge to slant like that, and I don't want to just start cutting!  Wink I've found some gorgeous 32-oz. wool which I'm hoping to dye, and I can't wait to get started!

Sadly your link doesn't go to the exact coat anymore.

I did come across this pattern today  that might be similar to what you are looking for.

Sometimes you get to change the world, and other times the world changes you.

Currently drowning in the sea called PhD.

Interested in swapping for I-Spy Quilt Squares and Scraps.

Really? How strange! It's there when I scroll down a little.  Huh Thanks for the pattern, though! I'll definitely keep it in mind.

The link too me to a vintage army coat. It's a typical man's double breasted coat. I'm not sure what you mean by slant front? Or maybe the link is taking me to a different coat?

Mccalls 5525 http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m5525-products-8074.php?page_id=911  is the ladies version of this classic coat. The difference is mens coat closes left over right, the ladies coat closes right over left.
