So I'm fairly new here, hopefully I'm putting this in the right place. I wanted to share a few projects I've created for the SCA. Pyrography is my passion. Thanks for looking!

Lisa

This is a 9" basswood scoop plate, pattern is a 9th century viking brooch.

I call this one the insanity box, it took nearly 100 hours. Craftwood box patterned after an Elizabethan embroidered bible.

I have plenty more, don't want to take up so much space on my first post with pics.

Thanks everyone! I'll pull together some pics so I can show some different stuff.

Your projects are really beautiful.  What is pyrography?

Pyrography is the art of burning...it literally means "fire writing". It is most often associated with wood (also known as woodburning), but it can really be done on a lot of different things. I also work on leather and paper, but wood is by far my favorite and easiest method.

that box is stunning, as is the platter. Only the fact they're in mint condition makes them seem new. You's got talent, woman
