2012 Stocking

For the last 6 years I've made a quilted stocking - sometimes for the Stocking Swap and sometimes for decorating our house.  The 2012 edition is going to a lady at my church who I think could use a little pick me up this Christmas.  I plan to add stuffers of things I know she enjoys.

Was it a pattern or did you make it up?

I made it up.  I drew the basic shape of the stocking and then figured out how to divide it so that it could be sewn together - a bit of work but I find it enjoyable giving myself a challenge.

So neat, and so incredibly thoughtful of you!  I'm planning on making some stockings this year, but I just couldn't figure out what I wanted to do...maybe I'll follow your example!
