This is my first cross stitch project. I knew that you were "supposed" to keep things the same each time you stitched, like L to R and top to bottom, etc. But when I first started, my stepmom was teaching me and said that lots of people get very particular but that she didn't feel like the back should look like the front. I let myself be a little too lax and you can tell that with some of Captain America that he just kinda looks... off... That would be my randomly R or L stitched Xs! :-P Overall though, I'm VERY pleased. :-) TOO cute! :-) Stepmom was impressed too, so definitely a win win. Very proud of this one.

I used DMC floss at the insistence of my stepmom and was THRILLED to learn the trick of holding all the ends of the floss between two fingers and pulling just one out at a time! I've since encountered snags if I don't hold tight enough but this SO beats sitting and slowly unwinding each strand on it's own. Woo for smart tips from the moms! :-)

This pattern is from https://www.etsy.com/shop/weelittlestitches and I believe, at the time, it was a free download though I don't see if on the site currently. I highly suggest her site - she does fantastic work, and I was very pleased with both the pattern and the finished product. :-)

Thanks for looking!

This is super-cute and your stitch work looks really even. I had the worst case of puckering when I was first learning. I also love that it's classic comics Avengers with Hank and Jan. Don't get me wrong; love the movie cast, but it's great to see some stuff with some of the other lineups.
