I made this little Halloween shrine for the wonderful HotBananaPepper, who was my partner for the fourth round of the Vintage Halloween Swap. She listed goblins, devils, pumpkin heads, and people behind masks as her favorite motifs and I couldn't have been happier! I've been wanting to make a repurposed shrine type of object, and this was the perfect chance after finding a great (if hideous) cabinet at the local thrift store. Here is the result...

And my absolute favorite aspect of the whole thing, it lights up!

A little close-up...

All the decoupage elements (done with plain Elmer's glue) were from vintage Halloween image searches -there are a lot of really great ones out there! Here is the top...

Right side...

Left side...

The back (the same devil image as the interior background, it was too cool)...

And the last little treat, the drawer is lined with a vintage group Halloween photo!

And here's what it looked like at the start!

This project was a blast and it was a bit hard to send it away, but I knew it was going to a great home. Happy (belated) Halloween!

Wow. That would be a year-round decorative object in my house. That is amazingly cool. I keep scrolling down to look at it again, even as I'm trying to type this. Great job!

It lights up? I love it, but it would still be great even if it didn't.

I'm so glad you all have enjoyed it, thank you!

The lights were a battery-powered string of 10 red led lights I got last year at Ikea. (In fact, I thought they had so much potential I bought several -and used one in a crown for another swap. Making things light up is sooooooooo fun! Grin) I just hot glued them where I wanted them and used foamcore to make "interior" walls to hide the wiring. That red rectangle on the back view is the battery pack/switch -I had hoped to camouflage it better, but it opens on the opposite side of the switch so it needed to be removable.
