My new quilting Anthem... (to the tune of Jimmy Crack Corn*)

Corner's don't meet and I don't care.
Corner's don't meet and I don't care
Corner's don't meet and I don't care
Quilt nazi's go away!

*I am of a certain age wherein grade school music education included all sorts of songs  that are probably very unPC today.  I am also the sort who gets even with the ear worm by making up my own lyrics to whatever tune happens to be stuck today.  Fortunately for everyone involved, I can only remember the chorus so today's quilt anthem is mercifully short.

Inserting a better picture of the quilt here!

The project that prompted today's sad look into my empty head is my Stash Busting Orange, Teal and Brown quilt.

It has been in the works for quite some time now, but today it finished.  Uneven corners and all.

Well not all my corners are uneven.  I have the worst of both worlds, some uneven and some spot on.  I DON'T CARE!  It is done.

I love that binding fabric.

Details on my blog.

ha, you're funny! I love the hand stitching, looks gorgeous (and distracts the eye away from the seams!)

Ummm...it's a quilt and I can't sew, so right there it's amazing.  But it's orange too?!  It's absolutely PERFECT!

I've been singing your song a while now.  If it helps.  I also have choreographed an ironing dance to go with it...  Jazz hands (with iron steam) on the "quilt Nazis go away"  Smiley

Neat to see brown with the orange and aqua...

I think it is lovely and reminds me of vintage quilts where you could actually see the love that went into making it! Cheesy

Love the color combinations...and I would pay admission to see that dance! Cheesy

My corners never meet either.  Still looks nice when done though.  Kudos on your quilt and what a catchy tune!  Have to remember it 'cause never know when I'll need it.

I always tell people "Don't look for perfection because you're not going to find it" when I show them my work.   I do try to make things right, but it doesn't always work out.  For me the fun is in the doing, so perfection isn't the goal.  Rip it out and make it perfect?  Pfft, only if I sew it upside down.  Grin

I'm with you on the binding love.  The whole thing is cute!
