Here in Australia we don't really do much for Halloween, but I've always celebrated because I don't pass up ANY opportunity for wearing a costume!  Cheesy This year, fresh off my trip to Disney World <3, I couldn't resist finally living my dream of being a Disney princess... my childhood favourite, Cinderella!

I used a pattern for the skirt and top but made major modifications, as the pattern was for a long-sleeved Queen's dress and did not include the white fabric sashes around the waist (do they have a real name???), which of course I had to have! I based all modifications on stills from the original Disney Cinderella film, as none of the photographs of dresses I found searching online matched what I wanted.

Everything was handmade except my gloves and earrings. I covered a solid headband with fabric from the dress, and used a piece of grosgrain ribbon with velcro sewn on the ends as the choker.

And one last picture with my rescue dog Ziggy, because he's cute  Grin

Being Cinderella was a dream come true! I auditioned to be a Disney princess in Hong Kong Disneyland last year but didn't make it through  Cry  At least now I have my very own princess dress for when the mood strikes me  Wink

Thanks for looking, this is my first challenge entry and I believe my first project post outside of swaps!  Cheesy
