I saw in a magazine that you could make a blanket using a knitting nancy. I always wanted to make one so I thought I would buy one. It arrived in the mail today. I figured out how to do it but how are you supposed to be able to make a blanket from the end result? I've done some looking but haven't found anything. Did the magazine lie to me?

Did the magazine give instructions?

No it didn't. Just said you could make blankets with it.

I'm not familiar with the name - is this a loom of some sort or something that makes knitted cords?

This is a link to the one that I bought. http://www.amazon.com/Lion-Brand-7002-French-Knitter/dp/B00281IP1U/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1352843195&sr=8-5&keywords=knitting+nancy

Ahhh, I see. That makes cords, you could probably make a lot of it and use it as really really bulky yarn with very large needles. Like knitting with 3 or 4 strands of yarn.

I've never done actual knitting before. I have no idea where I would even begin.  Huh
