my summer time labour of love. this was made for the end of Summer Random swap. And i almost didnít let it go. Tongue

it was intended to be a lap size quilt.  sadly tho.  math is hard. and it KEPT GROWING! Smiley my kiddo is standing on a chair to hold it up.

the colours ombreíd according to my partners wedding colours. i really love this quilt and will likely.  once the memory is less fresh. make more. i have friends lined up for one. Cheesy

here are all the pics i took of this project.

from design thru. sorry for quality and short quantity. Smiley

you may notice the design phase and the completed project arenít quite the same... rules are meant to be adapted to different situations Cheesy

for quilting i simple quilted thru the black spaces in the invaders block. each row a different direction. in the large black spaces i came  quarter inch off the line and straight line quilted. any more questions or comments... feel free. Smiley

I found my final draft. Complete with scrawled numbers, math and notions. The not so pretty side of quilting. Smiley

Great job.  The blue ombre looks wonderful.  What a great way to incorporate both your friends' wedding colors and the shade gradations in the original game.

I stupidly just showed this to my partner and he now wants one!!!

I have just started on my first ever quilt, many of the accessories he bought as birthday gifts for me. It may be a while before he gets one, but I may give it a try. Smiley

It is an awesome quilt.
