Homeschooling explains a lot of my crafts!

My girl has a obsession for Tinkerbell. She's a 4 year old, after all! And now that her little brother started actually sitting and listenning to movies, he's becomed a fan too. When Mariann suggested declared that they would be Vidia and Terence, he was delighted. So here goes their costumes -We went back in our family 4h of car away to trick-or-treat, so I didn't take the time to take very nice pictures.




I made two sets of wings with interfacing sandwitched between organza. The straps are pieces of elastic.
I wanted to make an accorn cap like Terence has, but it ended up more like a pinecone hat which is not a bad thing.
I couldn't find brown felt by the yard so I went with fleece. I used the storybooks we have here as a reference to draft the pattern for the vest. Pants are simple skinny pants Smiley
We borrowed a lovely mama-knitted sweater from a friend that fitted the Fall theme.



For Vidia's wing I crocheted a cap and inserted each strand of hair the way I do with my waldorf dolls. Time consuming but so much better then plastic wig!
I made her coat to look like it's made of leaves attached to each other...We can't see it very well, but I "drew" all the leaves line using my overlock machine. The white sweather she already had, I refashionned a huge white sweather into a dress for her last Yule. She already had a purple skirt and leggings. She also had purple socks... but I still can't find them anywhere!
