I participated in a mini swap on spritestitch.com in the forums. One of my partner's favorite things is Lord of the Rings, and I've always wanted to stitch the Moria door, so it was a perfect opportunity. The hardest part was stitching the Elvish on the arch, especially the tiny bits. I also found a really pretty frame for it. I don't like the lighting from when I took the photos- the colors don't look right. But I'll include a photo of it framed so that you can get an idea of what the frame looks like. The actual frame is more red, and the stitching is a rich brown (DMC #300.) Pretty much the whole thing is backstitch. Thanks for looking!  Cheesy

Ooooooh - I love that and am pinning it.  I love LOTR too, and a couple of my favourite computer games that I was devoted to were about Moria - yay old time Angband!
