For Halloween this year my daughter went as a "pile of leaves". I used a "flower girl" style dress I found at a thrift store for the base and then covered the whole thing in fake leaves attaching them with lots of hot glue. The fan style back is made from fairy wings that had been cut in half and repositioned to create a fan effect. While the dress was simple to create it was very time consuming. I'm also pretty sure I have no finger prints left after burning them off from excessive hot glue use. Such is the life of a crafter, right? Smiley

For my son I created a "Finn" costume. (FYI, Finn is the main character from a cartoon called "Adventure Time".) I am only entering the "pile of leaves" costume in this challenge, but I had to show of his costume as well. Smiley The backpack is made from felt and hot glue. The rest of the costume pieces were purchased.
