A ga-jillion hexagons

Ok - maybe not a ga-jillion.  264 to be precise.  However, I finally finished this afghan today.  It has sat in piles of hexagons, sat waiting to be put together, sat half put together and half in piles, sat waiting on a border and I've just kind of ignored it from time to time.  But now it is done!  And I'm very proud of it being done!

What a great burst of colors! This is a pattern that would usually be too busy for my eyes to enjoy, but yours isn't, it has the right balance to be the happy kind of colorful. It's beautiful and you did a great job.

This afghan covers a King sized bed.  I haven't tried washing it yet.  I know that'll make it super soft and comfy but....  I'm afraid of all the ends coming out and I'm afraid for the washer.    We'll see what happens.  Maybe over Thanksgiving I'll get it washed.  Right now I'm going to go sleep under it.

My eyes almost popped out of my head! haha! This is super awesome!!!! I want to make a blanket but I dont think that I have that kind of patience yet. But maybe if I start making squares on and off now I can have and awesome masterpiece by the time I retire. LOL

I worked on this for at least a year making hexagons on and off.  My fiancee got very frustrated with the bags of yarn I demanded to carry around so I could work with all the colors I wanted.

This is so beautiful! Nice work.  I just learned to make hexagons and attach them and I am starting with a pillow---but, one day, I will make an afghan myself! Something to aspire to!
