My BFF and I donated making a costume for a local fundraiser. The "winner" wanted a Barbie in a Box. We googled it since we'd not heard of that one yet and came up with this.
(Sorry. We were so pressed for time that no progress pics.)
We found a large box. Cut out the front leaving the parts for the decoration. I had some clear vinyl  left over so that was the front....took us forever to find barbie pink wrapping paper. We made two handles inside the box so it wouldn't just sit on her head. We also decided to open the top of the box for light and closed it off with more vinyl.
Happy girl---happy me.
Quick, easy and the best results...she won a prize.

Amazing. That turned out so well.  It was a new costume idea for me too but it looks really sweet with the real life Barbie inside.

Thank you elderflower. She was so sweet when she came to "try" it on and said thank you so nicely. Her smile made it all worth it.
