Hi all!

Tonight I ventured into the world of cutwork.  My project came out okay, though it was a definite learning experience.  I know some of the things I need to do differently next time, but I would like advice if anyone is experienced with cutwork. (Really, if you've done it more than once, you've got more experience than I do!)

I don't know if you can see, but the satin edging doesn't completely cover the edges.  Is that because I didn't trim it closely enough?

Also, I used tearaway stabilizer and some double sided tape (I know - not the best) since I didn't have any fabric glue sticks in my house.  Do you think that had anything to do with it?

I do know that the ribbon I chose for it was not the right choice - it's too lumpy and didn't finish properly at the top.  Live and learn, eh?

Anyway, any advice on making this look neater/more finished would be greatly appreciated!
