I just made my first Nuno scarf using this kit (http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/9619409-AA.shtml) and it came out awesomely!  I want to make another Nuno felted scarf with ruffles this time but I can't find a tutorial.  Help?

I'm experienced in felting soap and doing simple needle felting.

I'd like to make one like this: http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1092&bih=514&tbm=isch&tbnid=O3vtumaYUKrh8M:&imgrefurl=http://www.etsy.com/listing/83062799/ruffle-wool-nuno-felted-scarf-beige&docid=vabSUd0Cj1Q8oM&imgurl=http://img3.etsystatic.com/000/0/5444060/il_fullxfull.275390667.jpg&w=1000&h=806&ei=Wa2VUKuwDavD0AGS9YEI&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=508&vpy=210&dur=439&hovh=195&hovw=243&tx=98&ty=172&sig=117706421020688196008&page=4&tbnh=129&tbnw=164&start=55&ndsp=25&ved=1t:429,r:37,s:20,i:248

While I'm by no means an expert, and I'm self taught (well... from the interwebs, no teacher guidance though, so I count it as self taught.  I've made plenty of mistakes Smiley ) This might be only marginally helpful as it's mostly theory, and not experience.
Do the final stage of felting for longer in the middle section of the scarf, lengthwise.  rubbing the wool that direction will shrink only the middle, and not the sides.  Having the sides longer should create the ruffles.

Perhaps someone with more experience can be of better help...  but for now, i suppose a test swatch would be worth a try.
