Please forgive me if I've added this in the wrong section, and feel free to move it to where it belongs!

Over the summer, I came across this tutorial for Dainty Blossoms Couch Pincushion on Pinterest. It was the perfect craft for my surprise partner in the Surprise Swap who wanted sewing accessories. I mean, an arm chair pincushion...how cool is that?

Well, I am obsessed with Big Bang Theory, and had decided back then that I wanted one for myself. So, I finally got myself some fabric, embroidered "And it all started with a big bang" and sewed  it up today.  I changed a few things from the tute....the tute has the pin cushion being quilted. I didn't quilt this one. The tute also only has one pocket which is how I made the one for my craft partner. This one, I added a second pocket.

I am so excited to put it to use.  I have another one of these planned as well for a Christmas gift (well, the pin cushion, not the BBT theme part) They are so easy and such a good gift. And, you can change the dimensions to whatever suits your fancy.

Thanks for looking!

O-O-O. I need one of these. Now I have to come up with a theme. Great gift as well. I love the BBT theme.

I love it! Perfect combination of fabric and quote. I've often thought the single pocket armrest pincushions looked like they would be prone to slide off the chair. Your addition of an opposing pocket should resolve that problem very nicely. Good planning!
