Hey, Everyone.  Happy Halloween!  Here is the monstery cyclops costume I made for our annual Boo @ the Library event.


I started with a base made out of upholstery foam, made a fitted cover out of fleece and set in a pair of sleeves with attached mittens, stitched on the features, made a monster sized necklace, built the paws up with foam and fleece around a pair of bedroom slippers, and rigged a hiking pack with some pvc poles to hold the whole thing up.

Wow--this is very cool!  I worked with some puppet makers on a show, once, and this looks similar to how they make things.  Awesome!

Thank you!  It's funny you say that...  The upholstery foam was actually left over from puppets I made for a St. Patrick's Day puppet show at the library.  You're right, I used lots of the same techniques to make the costume.  Small world, I guess.  Smiley
